03 / Listing rules

The same rules for free and paid.

1. Real, active carrier
Every listing includes a USDOT number (and MC number for for-hire carriers). We check that the authority is active on FMCSA SAFER before a listing goes live or is upgraded.
2. Pay and home time up front
State the pay basis and range (CPM, percentage, weekly or hourly), home time, route type (local, regional or OTR) and equipment. “Earn up to” figures need the realistic range and what it takes to reach the top. Follow state pay-transparency laws where they apply.
3. Lease-purchase and owner-operator terms
Disclose the weekly truck payment, escrow, who pays fuel, insurance and maintenance, and contract length. No ownership or earnings promises without them.
4. No discrimination
Listings follow federal and state equal-employment law, with no preferences based on protected characteristics.
5. Clear labels
Paid placements show “Featured · Paid” on the site, “Sponsored job” in the newsletter, and an on-screen paid label plus the platform paid-partnership tag on video. Paid listings are never shown as editorial picks.
6. Editorial independence
Buying a listing has no effect on our news, rules or carrier coverage. Paid tiers buy position and promotion, never different screening.
7. Removal
We remove listings that are misleading, filled, fraudulent or break these rules. Paid listings removed for a rules violation aren’t refunded; for any other reason we refund pro rata.
